Bring your outdoor friends and swap out gently used gear at an open-air market in the heart of Saint Paul!

What: Paddle Bridge’s The Great Gear-Up & Gather

When: Sunday, April 28, MAY 19, 2024 from Noon until 5:00 pm

Where: Saint Paul Brewing courtyard and patio, 688 Minnehaha Ave E, St Paul, MN 55106

Details:

Paddle Bridge is collaborating with Saint Paul Brewing for use of their space and we are excited for the opportunity to build community around getting outside. Friends can browse (or sell!) with beer in hand, learn about partner organizations at booths, and take a break inside or on the patio until the auction kicks off.

The paddle craft auction is loosely scheduled for 4 pm. Trunk sale, community tables, partner booths, and patio perusing will be ongoing.

Three ways to sell, buy, barter or swap out your outdoor equipment!

There will be dedicated areas for a trunk sale and community table with an adjoining paddle craft auction site. Gear sale items are not strictly paddling – we welcome any gently used or new equipment you are looking to rehome. Here’s our tips to boost your experience:

1) Coming with friends or lots of stuff to sell? Pre-reserve a spot for the trunk sale via the orange button below. 👇

  • Several friends, one car: pool your gear and ride together. This will maximize the number of vehicles we can host and increase the amount of gear available at the market. Can you fit the most junk in your trunk? ;)

  • Oversized items or vehicles? Try to fit what you can inside or on top of your vehicle. *If* you think you’ll need more than a standard parking space, ask us about overflow options.

2) “I just wanna show up and see if I can swap out a few things.” Our community table is for you!

  • Solo-seller? We appreciate that you don’t want to take up an entire parking space if you only have a few smaller items to rehome. Sort through your closets and bring what you have day-of.

3) Tell me more about your paddle craft auction…

  • We’re trying to keep it pretty straightforward. Have craft that is paddle-, human- or wind-powered? Sell it at the auction! This includes kayaks, canoes, rafts, stand-up paddle boards.

  • For paddle craft auction information, email info@paddlebridge.com.

A few other important details:

  • It’s your cash; we’re keeping our hands out of your transactions. Plan to handle your own sales and purchases on-site. We recommend having the ability to use cash and accept cards or e-Payment services like Venmo, PayPal or CashApp.

  • Ya betcha can! Saint Paul Brewing is permitting guests to browse the trunk sale and community table areas in their main parking courtyard with beverages in hand. You can also walk between their outdoor patio and courtyard with refreshments. Note: no open containers will be allowed at the auction location.

Please note: we are requesting a $35 holding fee to reserve your parking spot for the trunk sale. This will be returned to you day-of upon check-in. This is our way of ensuring sellers are committed and there will be gear available for attendees to browse!

Our goal is for this to be a grassroots get-together for new and old outdoor rec communities. We hope to see you there!
